Discourse Markers (anyway, by the way, actually)
Los discourse markers, también conocidos como conectores discursivos, son palabras o frases que se utilizan para organizar el discurso y establecer la relación entre las diferentes partes de un texto o conversación. Algunos de los discourse markers más comunes en inglés son "anyway", "by the way" y "actually".
1. Anyway: Se utiliza para cambiar de tema o para retomar un tema después de una interrupción.
Ejemplo: I don't really like seafood. Anyway, what are we having for dinner tonight?
2. By the way: Se usa para introducir información adicional o para agregar un comentario a lo que se está diciendo.
Ejemplo: I'll be going to the concert tonight. By the way, did you get your ticket yet?
3. Actually: Se emplea para corregir información incorrecta o para introducir un dato sorprendente.
Ejemplo: I thought she was from Spain, but actually, she's from Mexico.
4. Anyway, I have to go to the store.
5. By the way, have you seen the new Star Wars movie?
6. She said she would be late, but actually, she arrived early.
7. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food. Anyway, let's go to that new Italian restaurant.
8. By the way, I heard your favorite band is coming to town next week.
9. Actually, I have already seen that movie twice.
10. The meeting was scheduled for 10 am, but by the way, it got postponed to 2 pm.
