El pasado continuo para acciones interrumpidas
El pasado continuo se utiliza para hablar de acciones que estaban en progreso en un momento específico del pasado.
Se forma con el verbo "to be" en pasado (was/were) + el verbo principal en forma -ing.
Ejemplos:
1. I was watching TV when the phone rang.
2. She was reading a book when I called her.
3. They were playing football when it started to rain.
4. We were having dinner when the lights went out.
5. He was studying when his friend visited him.
6. You were sleeping when I arrived.
7. The dog was barking when the mailman came.
8. The children were laughing while they were playing.
9. I was running in the park when I saw a squirrel.
10. She was painting when the brush fell.
En todos estos ejemplos, la acción en pasado continuo fue interrumpida por otra acción.
