Past Perfect Simple
El Past Perfect Simple se utiliza para expresar una acción que ocurrió antes de otra acción en el pasado. Se construye con el verbo auxiliar "had" seguido del pasado participio del verbo principal.
Ejemplos:
1. She had finished her homework before she went to bed. (Ella había terminado su tarea antes de acostarse).
2. They had already eaten when we arrived. (Ellos ya habían comido cuando llegamos).
3. He had seen the movie before, so he didn't want to watch it again. (Él había visto la película antes, así que no quería verla de nuevo).
4. By the time we got there, the concert had already started. (Para cuando llegamos ahí, el concierto ya había comenzado).
5. She had studied English before she moved to the United States. (Ella había estudiado inglés antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos).
6. I realized I had forgotten my keys after I left the house. (Me di cuenta de que había olvidado mis llaves después de salir de la casa).
7. They had never been to Europe before their trip last summer. (Ellos nunca habían estado en Europa antes de su viaje el verano pasado).
8. Had you ever seen snow before you came here? (¿Habías visto alguna vez nieve antes de venir aquí?)
9. The train had left by the time we got to the station. (El tren había partido para cuando llegamos a la estación).
10. She had already called the restaurant to make a reservation before I suggested it. (Ella ya había llamado al restaurante para hacer una reserva antes de que yo lo sugiriera).
